Producing Braille Letters / Purchase Orders
Some clients prefer Braille documents over print or large print. The feature to produce a Braille version of an authorization letter or purchase order is under development. Until that feature is available, use the following steps to produce a Braille version.
Step 1
Open the client’s record in eFORCE.
Step 2
With the client’s record open, choose the VR Case Info or the IL Case Info link in the Navigation bar.
Step 3
Choose the Authorizations link in the Navigation bar.
The Case Authorizations screen opens.
Step 4
Create a new authorization using the appropriate template.
Step 5
Once you have entered the information on the Authorization screen for this authorization, choose the Print Preview button.
A report window will open.
Step 6
Select (Highlight) the entire text on the screen. Then, press Ctrl-C to copy the text.
Step 7
Open a blank document in Microsoft Word.
Step 8
Choose the Paste Special command on the Edit menu.
The Paste Special dialog box opens.
Step 9
Select the Unformatted Text option. Then, choose the OK button.
The text from the letter or purchase order will be pasted into the document without special formatting.
Step 10
Code the text for Braille formatting.
Copying / Pasting Address for Envelope
Use the following steps if you want to copy and paste an address on an authorization letter or purchase order to an envelope.
Step 1
Once you have entered the information on the Authorization screen for this authorization, choose the Print Preview button.
A report window will open.
Step 2
Select (Highlight) the address on the screen. Then, press Ctrl-C to copy it.
Step 3
Open a blank document or your envelope template in Microsoft Word.
Step 4
Choose the Paste Special command on the Edit menu.
The Paste Special dialog box opens.
Step 5
Select the Unformatted Text option. Then, choose the OK button.
The address will be pasted into the document without special formatting.
Step 6
If necessary, change the letter case to All Caps by selecting the address. Then, choose the Change Case command on the Edit menu. Select Uppercase.
Step 7
Print the envelope.
